Vietnamese People's Border and Coast Guard - a part of Vietnamese People's Army directly under the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam is responsible for protecting the national sovereignty and security of the country border and coastline. After 50 years of growth and development, the Vietnamese People's Border and Coast Guard have played a considerable part of our Victory in the struggle for Independence, country protection and country’s development. The Secretariat of the Vietnamese Communist Party Central Committee has issued the directive 23CT/TW about celebrating 50 years anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnamese People's Border and Coast Guard (03/3/1959 -03/3/2009), 20 years anniversary of the National Border guard's day (1989 - 2009), 50 years anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh trail - the traditional day of Truong Son soldiers (19/5/1959 - 19/5/2009). On this occasion, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issues the stampset: “50th Traditional Day of Vietnamese People's Border and Coast Guard (03/3/1959 - 03/3/2009), 20th Anniversary of the National Border guard's Day (1989 - 2009)" on the 3th of March 2009 consisting of 01 value of 2,000d. The stampset generalizes the noble & glorious tradition of Vietnamese People's Border and Coast Guard throughout 50 years of its establishment and development. |
