President Ho Chi Minh is the great leader of the Vietnamese Communist Party & people, the founder of this Party & State of Vietnam. His portrait, life & cause have been deeply engraved in mind and unforgettable remembrance of Vietnamese people and the world's peace-lovers as well forever. Recently, the Government Office has issued Decision No 505/QD-TTg approving the project on the celebration of the 120th Birthday Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th, 1890 – May 19th, 2010), and the 20th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of Ho Chi Minh as a national liberation hero and the most eminent cultural activist of Vietnam (1990-2010). On the 16th of May 2010, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issues the stampset: “120th Birth Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890 - 2/9/1969)” consisting of 01 value of 2,000d. The stampset shows President Ho Chi Minh's portrait with kind-hearted face; large & intelligent forehead; gentle & dazzling bright eyes; radiant, compassionate & altruistic smile expressing his simple, pure & noble soul. He devoted his whole life to the national liberation of the Vietnamese people, contributing to the common struggle of peoples for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress. |
